Mosaic Tile Factory, Zanesville, OH

Project Description

Closed for good in 1935. At its peak the company was the world’s number one seller of tile. In 1937 the building became the home of the Shawnee Pottery.In the following years many other businesses occupied the structure. A.E.’slocal rival, Mosaic, would continue to operate until the mid 1960s. Since the 60s the building has been used primarily for storage and eventually acquired by Muskingum county.
